It's emotionally uplifting to see so many different people, of different shapes, sizes, sex and ethnicity, to become one unit doing our part to end Breast Cancer. What's even more incredible is the courage they have to participate in a project of this nature. I am proud to be working side by side with such passionate people.

We do the things we do to support and love the ones we care about. We give them strength when they can’t find it and hope when it no longer exists. We fight for this with our actions and our words. These are my actions and my support is undying.

Bold for Breast Cancer is an event created by Vancouver local Melissa Bragenstroth in the summer of 2008 to help raise awareness of breast cancer in a less conventional way through the art of body painting.
Getting various women together to take their tops off, most of whom had never done body painting before, was no small feat in itself, but finding all of the women, the location, the photographer, the body paint artist, the make-up artist and press coverage... in a WEEK? That was just pure dedication.
Last year's event was such an overwhelming success that this year, with the help of Ashleigh Topliss, the event is back, and bigger than ever. We appreciate your patience while we design the new web site. Also please be sure to follow us on Facebook!

![]() Young Adult Cancer CanadaYoung Adult Cancer Canada was established in 2000 by Geoff Eaton, after his first cancer challenge. Geoff's vision focused on educating and supporting young adults. At the core of that vision was the belief that cancer, like all of life's challenges, brings with it valuable lessons and experiences. For the first three years of operation, which included a cancer relapse and additional treatment for Geoff, Young Adult Cancer Canada remained focused on the school program and delivery of positive messages to young adults. |
Bald is Beautiful
Janelle Hughes felt from a very young age that she would one day have cancer, and sadly, she was right. Diagnosed in 2006, before she was even twenty five years old, Janelle Hughes began her battle with breast cancer.
Although surely devastating news, Janelle did not let the cancer get her down and instead, chose to embrace everything that this disease had to teach her.
